There’s been no mistake; you’re here to experience bad things, bad people, and bad luck, all of which lead to spiritual growth.

Sounds negative, but if you think about it, only those of us up to the task get to experience this high-density, gravity-laden planet. The goal is for each of us to grow, learn, and find compassion for ourselves and others. It’s easy to do if everyone is happy all the time. It’s much more challenging and rewarding to find our own paths through mayhem and come out loving one another.

And what about the bad people? Well, believe it or not, some of them agreed to be the antagonists on our journeys. Without them, we might not grow or experience the full range of emotions necessary to fulfill our purpose.

Look back on any negative situation and find the gift, the lesson, the path to be better. If you don’t, you’re doomed to repeat it.

I once had a client who asked if there would be any more changes coming her way. Of course there are! A better question would have been how she could pick which ones she wanted to respond to, and how.

As much as we would all like to hunker down in a cottage with our favorite pet and a perpetually hot cup of tea, that is not why we are here. That will work for a time, but if we stay too long, will stunt our growth.

Autoimmune disease? What pain are you holding on to? Kidney disease? What anger can you release? In a terrible relationship? Can you learn to save yourself and build resilience?

Experience, learn, grow, repeat.
