I am writing this before the election, before the outcome is known, before we have had a chance to celebrate or fall into despair.

Regardless of the results, the remedy is the same.

Kindness, empathy, community, living into your morals. Nothing has changed.

The chaos will continue because the media and algorithms keep feeding the divide and stoking fear. The bottom line is that no political solution will save us. We must save ourselves. Together.

Go inward where no media lives and focus beyond your fear. What is true versus what you are afraid is true? We must actively seek it out and consciously remind ourselves about what matters.

I pray for you, for me, and for the peace that will come forward and unite us. I know I cannot do it alone, but I also know it won’t happen without me. Or you.

As you follow the election results, remember that you are not alone, and we will arrive someplace better than today.
