About 25 years ago, I decided to stop sending Christmas cards.
What a relief! Of all the things on my plate at that time – work, kids, house, shopping, wrapping, shipping, etc. – holiday cards became optional. Once the decision was made, it was so easy to let go.
I didn’t take something off my plate as much as I refused to put one more thing on my plate.
This year, holiday cards are back on the agenda. They are back on my list of things I enjoy doing.
What’s on your plate that is extra and causing a burden?
This is a perfect time to review your to-do list, find the things that are optional, and eliminate them. Give yourself the gift of focus, reserved energy, and peace.
Happy holidays to one and all,
Mary
