Am I the only one who thought Jerry Maguire was an awful movie?

The worst line ever to come from that movie is not “show me the money.” It is: “You complete me.”

Yes, other people bring other things into our lives: new experiences, new perspectives, new opportunities. But you are and have always been complete.

If you feel anything is missing, go look for it. Inward. It’s there, and it wants to come out. You can ask others for help to realize what you need. That’s fair game. But I promise you it is not the adoration or dependency of another person.

Completion comes from acknowledging all that you can do for yourself and being comfortable with your own power.

I would not be the same person today without my husband, children, and close friends. Still, I would be complete. You are, too.
