Truer words were never spoken.

I have had a crash course in the transpersonal chakras, which I have shared in my last five posts. In short, they take us from engaging with the deepest and most profound Earth energies all the way to the Divine.

As if to further my understanding, my book club decided to read “The Afterlife of Billy Fingers” by Annie Kagan. In this book, her brother Billy, who seemingly led a horrible life fueled by addictions, comes to her after his death and says he needs her to write a book about his afterlife.

Most importantly to his sister, the first message was that he lived the life he was supposed to.

The book club’s decision to read the book had nothing to do with my explorations, yet they complimented each other in very clear and dramatic ways. If you have not read the book, treat yourself. It is short, fun, and reassuring about the afterlife. (I have not seen the movie, so I cannot comment.) It is also a crash course in the transpersonal chakras, which Billy did not achieve in this lifetime on earth, but still defines them beautifully from his soul’s next adventure.

I have always told my clients that we take our beliefs with us when we die. That was definitely true for Billy Fingers.

Billy’s quest was to know God, to truly know the Divine. Hence, although given the opportunity, he chose to forgo reuniting with past loved ones and went straight through to the Soul StarStellar Gateway, Universal Gateway, and Universal Gateway.

Billy succinctly notes: You are the oyster and the pearl.

You cannot make pearls of your life without the irritation of sand. And the more you take the lessons from your irritations, the more beautiful and lustrous the pearl. The goal is not to avoid the sand. That is an oyster more likely to be someone’s dinner. Nor do you need to seek great amounts of sand. But it helps to understand that the sand that does get in has something to teach us and to make us even grander.

The best route for your soul’s journey is to take the lesson, leave the baggage. I am always happy to discuss how these teachings might help you live your best life. They are definitely helping mine.
